Beach Access
If you like the beach, these are the places for you in the Sarasota area! All of these beaches are free both for access & parking. "We don't need no stinking badges"!

Lido Beach:  Lido Key is a barrier island located near St. Armands Circle with several beaches on the Gulf of Mexico. There is a variety of hotels, beach houses and other properties available on Lido Key, St. Armands, Bird Key, and close to downtown Sarasota via the Ringling Bridge.  Lido Beach

Siesta Beach:  No doubt one of the best beaches period. Voted #1 Beach by Dr. Beach in 2011.  The sand is the whitest and most powdery I have ever seen and stays cool underfoot. Concession stand offers foods & beverages. Popular Spring Break destination. There are a variety of homes and condominium properties available on Siesta Key and hearby community of Gulf Gate, Siesta Village offers many dining and shopping options as well as a vibrant night life scene.  Siesta Beach

Nokomis Beach:  Nokomis Beach is located on the south end of Casey Key and encompasses the area from Albee Rd. Bridge to North Jetty Park. The "Drum Circle" is a fixture every Saturday night.  Casey Key properties are mostly high end although some condo units in resort rental complexes are available. North Jetty Park  is on the north side of Venice Inlet and is a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike for outdoor parties & cookouts. Recently upgraded and home of the historic North Jetty Fish Camp.  Nokomis Beach

Venice Beach:  Located on Venice Island on the south side of Venice Inlet. Easily accessible from the Venice area. There is a snack shack as well as restroom facilities. Encompasses the area from South Jetty to the Venice Pier at Sharkey's Restaurant. The Venice Municipal Pier offers free fishing from the pier and sells bait, tackle & other sundries.

Brohard Paw Park:  Located just south of the Venice Pier area on Venice Island. This is a beach where you can take your dog and let them have a fantastic time with other dogs & dog lovers, swimming and playing. Just pick up after your pet!  Brohard Paw Park

Casperson Beach:  Probably my favorite, a State Park located at the south end of Venice Island. No high rises or homes, just natural and preserved the way it used to be. Good to fish, bathe or walk, and the Legacy Trail Bike Trail ends here. So you can ride your bike from here to Sarasota. Good place to look for shark's teeth.  More info:  Casperson Beach

Manasota Beach:  The northermost public beach on Manasota Key. Located at the end of Manasota Beach Rd. Readily accessible from South Venice and north Englewood from 776 and Manasota Beach Rd. There is a free public boat ramp located at the Manasota Rd. bridge in the Intracoastal waterway.  Nice beach.   Manasota Beach
